Terms of service
Hilo turns recurring Google Calendar meetings into living canvases. By signing in to Hilo you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't sign in.
The service
Hilo connects to your Google Calendar, identifies your recurring meeting series, and creates a single rolling canvas per series. You and other attendees collaborate on the canvas in real time. Hilo's AI ingests context you drop in — transcripts, screenshots, files, links — and writes summary, decision, and action-item blocks into the canvas alongside human edits. Every block carries an author (human or AI) and a timestamp.
Your account
You need a Google account to use Hilo. You're responsible for activity on your account. Don't share your sign-in. If you suspect unauthorized use, revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions and contact us.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Hilo to harass, defame, or harm anyone.
- Upload content you don't have the right to share.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the operation of the service.
- Let other people sign in with your credentials.
- Use Hilo to violate any applicable law or regulation.
AI outputs
The blocks the AI writes into your canvas — summaries, decisions, action items, owners, due dates — are generated and can be wrong. Treat them as drafts. Verify before acting on them, especially for assignments and deadlines. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated content.
Your content
You own the content you and your meeting attendees put into Hilo. By using the service, you grant Hilo a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit, and display that content for the purposes described in the privacy policy — running the service, applying the AI, and presenting it to authorized canvas attendees.
Our service
The Hilo software, brand name, logo, design system, and underlying code remain ours. You may not copy, redistribute, sublicense, or otherwise use these without permission.
Privacy
How we handle data is described in detail in our privacy policy.
Service is "as is"
Hilo is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We try to keep the service running, but we do not promise uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use is at your own risk.
